FunMobility, today announces the launch of America’s Best Mobile Flix (aFLIX), the first interactive video sharing service and mobile social network, on Verizon Wireless. aFLIX will enable Verizon Wireless customers to easily create unique mobile video experiences and share user-generated content with other mobile phone users across multiple carrier networks.

Using aFLIX, Verizon Wireless customers who have phones with video capabilities may share their mobile videos as life happens. Customers can upload videos into categories such as Comedy, Kids Vids, Crazy Pets, Sports Hijinks, and many more, or create a profile with their videos and share public or private messages with other members. Customers can also review, comment, rate and share every video on aFLIX right from their mobile phone. Videos with higher ratings are featured in a special “best videos” category every month, and customers are automatically presented with the highest-rated video they have not yet seen when they open the aFLIX application on their phones.

Guitar Hero III released exclusively on Verison

Activision, Verizon Wireless, and Hands-On Mobile have teamed up to release Guitar Hero III Mobile exclusively to Verizon subscribers.

The game operates in a similar fashion to its computer and console counterparts, but instead of using an actual guitar mobile gamers will instead time their presses on the numbered pad. 15 tracks are available, including Suck My Kiss by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and a cover of Rock You Like A Hurricane, as well as four authentic guitars and three venues at which to play.

Any Verizon customer with a Get It Now-capable phone can purchase the game for $11.99, or spend $4.49 for monthly access.

Verizon Launches Flash Games

Flash LiteAccording to Moconews, Shockwave (associated with Atom Entertainment and MTV) has launched a series of games on Verizon Wireless, created with Adobe Flash Lite. Skyzone Mobile has also launched two Flash Lite games on Verizon. This comes after much discussion on Flash Lite at Arjan’s mobile games blog.

Verizon Launching Mobile Content Search

VerizonWe have often hear that it is difficult to sell mobile games in part because it is difficult for the user to search and download the games. Verizon Wireless has taken a step towards solving this issue by introducing a mobile content search application from Medio, allowing users to search for ringtones, games and wallpapers. The search function also suggests recommendations of other content not part of the initial search in an effort to drive further sales.
