Electronic Arts and Warner Bros. have announced the release of Harry Potter Mastering Magic.
Players take control of Harry, Ron, or Hermione during their fifth year at the Hogwarts school of magic. They will attend classes to learn herbology, charms, astronomy, potions and more, as they pursue their O.W.L. grades. Practice classes, complete exams, and track progress as you strive for the coveted Studious Success Cup.

It’s still racing season here at QB. EA Mobile has announced the upcoming release of Need For Speed ProStreet.
Players take control of one of 16 high performance cars and go street racing on one of the game’s 11 courses. If you can beat out the 8 other racers, you’ll win cash to upgrade your car in the Tuner Shop or buy a new one.
“We are very excited to release another great mobile version of this racing franchise that is so popular with our fans,” said Travis Boatman, VP of Worldwide Studios at EA Mobile. “Need for Speed ProStreet delivers the adrenaline-fueled racing and drifting that you’ve come to expect from the Need For Speed franchise, while offering accessible gameplay and controls designed specifically for mobile phones.”
The game hits mobile phones on the 26th of October in Europe and the 30th in North America.
Electronic Arts has announced that they have released a new action game called Medal of Honor: Airborne.
The game focuses on aerial invasions in the European Theater. Players take control of Boyd Travers, a soldier in the 82nd Airborne division. Gamer can take Boyd through eight levels, destroying key objects in battles such as D-Day and Market Garden.
“Medal of Honor Airborne on your mobile presents explosive action on the go and stays true to the core experience of the franchise,” said Travis Boatman, vice president of worldwide studios at EA Mobile. “Each level of the game is unique and provides new challenges for players to overcome.”
The game is available now throughout Europe.
Electronic Arts has announced the availability of The Sims Bowling for the iPod, which marks the first time the long-running franchise has appeared on the device.
Similar to its mobile phone counterpart, The Sims Bowling allows players to create a sim and then take him or her to the lanes. Their greatest hope is to become the star of the local bowling alley. However, there’s more to the game than just bowling: your progress on the lane ears your sim Simoleons that can be used to buy skill-enhancing items such as new balls, new gloves, wax, and more.
“iPod is an extremely rewarding platform on which to develop games that are beautiful and fun to play,†said Travis Boatman, vice president of worldwide studios for EA Mobile. “The Sims Bowling is a game that captures the lifestyle-oriented nature of The Sims, while delivering a meticulously crafted bowling game for the iPod.â€
The game is available from the iTunes store for $4.99.
Electronic Arts has released the recently announced The Simpsons: Minutes to Meltdown.
The game stars Homer Simpsons as he races against the clock to prevent a nuclear meltdown. Players start in the Simpson home and will race through many familiar places in Springfield, including the nuclear power plant, the Kwik-E-Mart, Moe’s Tavern, Krusty Burger and more. Along the way he’ll meet many other Springfieldians like Bart, Mr. Burns and Smithers, Apu, Chief Wiggum, and many others.

The game is out now in North America and Europe.
Electronic Arts has announced that they are publishing a sequel to id Software’s Orcs and Elves through their mobile publishing arm, EA Mobile, reports MobileIndustry.biz.
The original Orcs and Elves is a story-driven action/RPG. Players take the role of an elf as he attempt to retake a Dwarven city from an invading force. There are no details as yet about the sequel.
“Orcs and Elves changed a lot of people’s perceptions by showing that you could build an easily accesible, story-rich RPG for today’s mobile phones,” said Travis Boatman, VP of worldwide studios at EA Mobile. id Software’s John Carmack called the sequel a “polished gem” and said that the sequel will open up new parts of the world while “improving all elements that were loved about the original game.”
The game is in development now at Fountainhead Studios and is scheduled for release this Christmas.

Electronic Arts has announced that they will be bringing the Harry Potter game franchise to mobile phones, starting with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
The game takes place in Harry’s fifth year at Hogwarts. He returns to school to find that people are in denial about the resurgence of Lord Voldemort, so he starts Dumbledore’s Army to train other students against the dark arts. Players will be able to control Harry, Ron, and Hermione as the explore the castle, practice magic, and even duel other students.
“We’re thrilled to deliver Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for mobile,†said Travis Boatman, vice president worldwide studios at EA Mobile. “Our teams worked diligently to create a visually rich, immersive mobile game that is faithful to the Harry Potter universe. The game will be available June 15th in Europe and June 26 in North America.
