Electronic Arts has announced the availability of The Sims Bowling for the iPod, which marks the first time the long-running franchise has appeared on the device.
Similar to its mobile phone counterpart, The Sims Bowling allows players to create a sim and then take him or her to the lanes. Their greatest hope is to become the star of the local bowling alley. However, there’s more to the game than just bowling: your progress on the lane ears your sim Simoleons that can be used to buy skill-enhancing items such as new balls, new gloves, wax, and more.
“iPod is an extremely rewarding platform on which to develop games that are beautiful and fun to play,†said Travis Boatman, vice president of worldwide studios for EA Mobile. “The Sims Bowling is a game that captures the lifestyle-oriented nature of The Sims, while delivering a meticulously crafted bowling game for the iPod.â€
The game is available from the iTunes store for $4.99.
