We just finished recording a Podcast with Wes Tam of Magmic. The podcast was Diggnation style in the sense that we (Wes, Doug of BlackBerry Cool and I) sat on a couch chatting about things we like to chat about. I’m just editing the video now so expect it by tomorrow. In the podcast, we talk about Android vs iPhone vs BlackBerry mobile content distribution models and Magmic’s upcoming game Eagle Eye, based on the movie of course. Stay tuned!

So I’ve been here in Korea for a couple of days now and it’s time to really get to work. The weekend has been really slow because I’ve been travelling and shopping around for a good “love motel”. If you’ve ever been to Korea, you know that hotels are for rich people and “love motels” are for the rest of us. The place I’m staying at right now has bed bugs but at least it’s only $40 a night. Also, at least I get my own room unlike CTIA where Doug and I shared a room with 4 other people. Today I spent the day checking out the best LG phones at one of the world’s largest technology markets. The video will take some time to edit but as soon as I get back it is a top priority. So stay tuned for some great insider footage.

Hey guys! After a solid 12 hours of travel (planes, trains, camels… etc.) QB has finally touched down in sunny San Diego. Expect content to come as soon as we de-louse ourselves. OR, you could follow me on Twitter to keep up to date on all my ramblings. Kyle lost his phone somewhere in Chicago, so don’t expect him to be doing much of anything other than crying.

There are a couple ways of getting software from the Internet to your BlackBerry. The best way is to send the file from the store to your BlackBerry OTA (Over the Air). OTA involves sending the download link via SMS or your email account and downloading the program through the browser. OTA is the easiest way especially for a Mac user who is going to experience some serious pains when using the BlackBerry sans PC. TV Guide has only been a fairly integral part of the TV watching experience. People collect TV Guides and can get pretty obsessive over them. Handmark has combined 2 things that are oddly addictive and released TV Guide Mobile for the BlackBerry. I gave it a try and it seems like it would be awesome if I didn’t live in Canada. New server, new lease on life: QuicklyBored is back once again and ready for action.
Hiccups, burps and other glitches were responsible for the occasional QB outages that readers may have noticed last week. In an effort to ensure nothing stands between you and your mobile gaming news, we moved the server, zapped the bugs, and are now ready for action once more.
Today we’re going to tighten a few bolts and get this site running at its peak, better than it ever was. Thanks for your patience, QB readers… we’re doing it all for you!

Arjan Olsder at the Mobile Games Blog has posted a response to our recent editorial, 11 Little Things.
Arjan agrees with a lot of what was said, adding his own experiences and wide knowledge of phones to give weight to some of the arguments. On others he, disagree somewhat:
1 ” In our experience, there are a lot of games that allow usage of multiple buttons at the same time. It’s the knowledge of the game developer that allows usage of this. Specially with platform games, the ability to use two buttons at the same time is vital for good gameplay.”

GDC 2007 has arrived. So has QB.
Dedicated to bringing you the best mobile gaming coverage of the only conference “by developers, for developers”, QuicklyBored has stormed San Francisco in such a way that an entire new section of the site was necessary to contain it.
