Ozura Mobile releases Hello Kitty’s Birthday Surprise

Ozura Mobile and MOffY Limited have announced the release of Hello Kitty’s Birthday Surprise to MaxGames, the largest mobile gaming community portal in Malaysia.

The game features two modes of play, story and tournament. In the story mode, players collect a certain number of ingredients to move on to the next level, while in tournament play gamers must collect as many as possible as quickly as possible. Players can upload their high scores and compare them with others in the community.

“Hello Kitty’s Birthday Surprise was developed under cooperation between MOffY and Ozura,” said Ozura’s Chief Marketing Officer H.E. Mah. “The game provides fans with an extraordinary gaming experience that encapsulates the character’s attitude and style. Upon launching, we’re hoping to capture the attention and responsiveness of Maxis subscribers.”

Ozura releases Master of Maya

Ozura Mobile has announced that they have released Master of Maya, a trading card game and one of the first to appear in the mobile space.

Players take on the role of a Mayan ruler and put together a team of characters to face another player and his or her team. Mutation cards allows players to change and evolve and characters, improving their fighting or sorcery skills.

“We are confident that Master of Maya and our MaxGames portal will pave the way for future mobile games with high-production values,” said Lion Peh, Ozura’s CEO. “It has real mass market appeal and even people who haven’t yet discovered the trading cards will enjoy this gameplay.”

Ozura releases Zombie Zapster and The Lake Monster

Ozura has announced the release of two puzzles games, Zombie Zapster and The Lake Monster.

In Zombie Zapster, players must undo a spell that has turned the inhabitants of the peaceful village of Waka-Waka into zombies. The screen is divided into 3×3 section, and players must kill zombie by driving a nail through their necks. The game requires quick and accurate reaction, as hitting a villager will lose the player one of three lives.

Lake Monster tells the story of an insatiable monster in the waters of Lake China. Players much prevent a small boy, Wan, from sleepwalking into the jaws of the monster.

MOSTAR, tournament based mobile community

Ozura Mobile, in partnership with ChinaByte, has announced the official launch of the MOSTAR mobile community in China.

MOSTAR is a tournament based community running on Ozura’s FunLogiX platform. It uses a virtual currency called “M coin” as a prepaid credit for users to download games. In the future, Ozura plans to allow M coin to be purchased via scratch cards, IVR, and credit cards as well as bank cards.

“This partnership with Ozura emphasizes both parties’ commitment to significantly expand the mobile data market with pioneering partnerships,” said Mr. Lee, CEO of ChinaByte. “In addition to that, it is equally paramount that we have a firm belief in the mobile gaming and entertainment segment which will be the key drivers to mass market usage of mobile data. Mobile gaming represents the next step in the evolution of the games industry, by adding interactivity, and mobility to traditional gaming options.”

The first two tournament games highlighted on MOSTAR are Spot Check and The Duel Online.

Ozura signs distribution deal with Zingy

Ozura Mobile has announced the formation of a distribution deal with Zingy Inc.

As part of the deal, Zingy will market and distribute Ozura titles through Ozura’s network of mobile operators, as well as selling them directly to consumers through the Zingy Inc. brand.

“The partnership with Ozura gives us access to some fantastic titles for all of distribution outlets. We are very excited about the expected impact this relationship will have to our aggregation business,” said Matt McEnerney, Zingy Inc.’s Director of Games.

The games to be part of the deal include Antopia, R.A.T.S., WWD and others.

Ozura’s Mobile Games Portal

MaxGamesThere are a number of mobile game portals that have been opening up these days. Eventually, we’re going to eventually get around to reviewing them all. The latest portal is from Maxis Communications Bhd which has launched the country’s first subscription based mobile gaming and community portal known as MaxGames.
