iPhone MMS coming to Sweden and hopefully the world

Coming to Sweden

MacWorld has confirmed with the Swedish-Finnish carrier Telia is developing an MMS-enabling app for the iPhone. The app will hit the market in the next two months. Although the app is launching first in Sweden, it should be only a matter of time until it hits North American markets. Hopefully this becomes a trend and some other foreign market develops copy&paste as well as full landscape keyboard support. Once all of that trickles over to us, we’ll have iPhone’s with virtually nothing to complain about. Scratch that, we love complaining.

Mogreet is launching on AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and Alltel. Mogreet is a cool service that lets you send mobile video messages via MMS or attached to SMS messages to your friends. You can choose from a library of 3,000 mobile video greetings from celebs such as Lance Bass, Sean Kingston and Tila Tequila. The service costs $0.99 per video and they’re constantly expanding their library. Check out their site for examples of the messages you can send your pals.

PhoneFace Speed-Dial nabs Facebook pictures to make calls

If you dug the interface in FlipSide, Electric Pocket has recently tweaked it and made PhoneFace, allowing you to scroll through pictures of friends to call and text them. Pictures can be taken from your BlackBerry’s camera, nabbed off your media card, or even imported from Facebook. This is a pretty slick idea (along the same lines as PictureDial) that I could see as an eventual full Address Book replacement. Throw a few more options in there like e-mail and MMS, maybe add some group options, ability to zoom in and out of a grid, and you’ve got something pretty awesome. Interested?
