BEST OF 2008: An amazing Zombie Attack! high score

High score

Doug and I just finished a solid round of Zombie Attack! by IUGO and his score is ridiculous. At first I thought that it was the best score that anyone has ever had on Zombie Attack! I mean, his score was 3529. Nothing could possibly top that right? Well I was checking out the forums and it turns out hyk from the touchArcade forums got 4096! I’ve posted his screenshot above, which shows his score just before he died. Amazing! My hat goes off to this guy. I’ll quote his story below for your enjoyment. Nice one hyk!

Toy Bot Diaries Entry 2 for iPhone now available iTunes App Store

The sequel to IUGO’s much loved Toy Bot Diaries has launched on the App Store. Toy Bot Diaries Entry 2 has more levels, more content, more graphics and of course the little robot that everyone finds just so freaking adorable. In the first entry, our little robot faced off against the giant flame spewing evil bot, eventually shooting him with a cork in the face that pushed his sorry ass down a pit. In Entry 2, we begin where we left off; climbing out of the dingy sewers and into a whole new world of challenges in the sky.

Toy Bot Diaries Entry 2 is available on the App Store for $3.99.

I’m terrified of zombies. In fact, my fear of zombies has exponentially increased since running zombies was introduced by 28 Days Later. From the extensive research I’ve done, it seems the best way to defend yourself from zombies is a Half-Life style bio-suit with shotgun combo. That way, you can blow off crazy zombie heads without risk of blood splatter contamination. After that, it’s just a matter of getting to the Arctic where they can’t survive.

Another way to defend yourself against the undead is a super intense network of towers blasting them with a barrage of high powered explosives! That seems to be the case with IUGO Mobile Entertainment’s Zombie Attack! Their game is an addictive 3D tower defense strategy game. You play a survivor of the Zombie apocalypse. Your job is simple; stay alive and protect your shack.

IUGO’s Shaky Summit hits the App Store

IUGO Shaky Summit

IUGO has launched their latest game, Shaky Summit on the App Store. As with Toy Bot Diaries, IUGO created Shaky Summit exclusively for the iPhone and its unique controls. I got a chance to see this game at CTIA, and the 3D graphics, replayable levels and unique 2 player mode come together as an awesome casual games. Shaky Summit retails on the App Store for $4.99 US.

Shaky Summit is going to be a hit for the iPhone. Its developers, IUGO, are a cool company I got a chance to meet down at BREW 2008. The above video is a quick preview that IUGO put out and it shows some of the basics. It seems you race against the computer while giant rolling boulders of death try and harsh your buzz. I don’t think the game is multiplayer but it would be a great feature. Also, you can download a Toy Bot Diaries demo FREE from the app store.

San Francisco

Today we’re flying to San Francisco. Yes we are incredibly early for CTIA but we have a lot to do down there. We’ll be touring the city speaking with local companies and getting ready for the big show. On the other hand, we just wanted an excuse to check out the city. What a beautiful place San Francisco is and we’re going to have an awesome time. Stay tuned for some great interviews with MocoSpace, IUGO, Movius and more!

I played IUGO’s Toy Bot Diaries: Entry 1, and I have to say I am hooked. The game makes full use of the iPhone’s touchscreen and it’s a great way to spend either 15 minutes or more. This is just an intro video and we’ll be posting more to come. Things are just a little hectic here preparing for CTIA. Stay tuned and we’ll walk you through some of the more difficult levels.
