Well, this is big. Apple is rumored to be considering a couple different business models for the iTunes Store, and one of them involves making the entire catalog available for free. Much like Nokia’s Comes With Music concept, users would pay a premium on the iPod and iPhone to offset the free music. They might also be considering a subscription service, paying a fee every month for all the music you want. Of course, they still have to wrangle with the big record labels, which is never easy, so this might come to nothing in the end. Very intriguing if true, though.
