Just after their deal with Amob, PopCap has now signed up with Indiagames to get their titles spread throughout India. So far, only Bookworm and Chuzzle are set for release, but hopefully we’ll see some more of PopCap’s game (Bejewelled, anyone?) in the region.

Indiagames has signed an agreement to use Metaflow’s content submission technology. The technology eases game ingestion, getting games on carrier portals and ready for sale in as fast a time as possible. Companies can then work on publishing and marketing while Metaflow takes care of submissions.
Indiagames has announced the formation of a partnership between themselves and Glu.
Under their new agreement, Indiagames will distribute some of Glu’s games, as well as wallpapers and ringtones, throughout India. Games that will be distributed include Age of Empires III Mobile, Atari Legends 3, Pong, Asteroids Deluxe, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, DC Comics, and Zuma.
“It is Glu’s goal to be the leading developer and publisher of mobile games worldwide, and our partnership with Indiagames supports our strategy to bring our award-winning games to a wide audience of consumers around the world,†said Jill Braff, senior vice president of global publishing at Glu. “We see tremendous opportunity for Glu games in India, and our partnership with Indiagames will allow us to expand our global audience for our award-winning titles.â€
The titles will be available from leading operators in India as well as the gaming portal run by Indiagames.
Indiagames has launched a new international publishing and developing arm called IG Fun, reports MobileIndustry.biz.
“At IG Fun we operate under the simple idea that the customer is king and aim to provide fun and exciting games,” said Sean Malatesta, VP of business development. “Our main goals are to provide high quality games, the widest handset coverage and to support our titles with clutter-breaking marketing and merchandising.”
The company’s goal is to become on of the top 5 publishers in Europe and the US. They’ve already signed on with distributers such as 3, Telfonica, Vodafone, and Verizon Wireless.
Mumbai-based UTV Software Communication — which is currently producing Mira Nair’s latest film The Namesake — has staked company’s claim in the virtual gaming business.
Tag Games, a Scottish development company, has increased its distribution network by signing a distribution deal with Indiagames.

Indiagames Ltd. has reported one million downloads of its BREW-based applications so far in 2006. The company claims to have achieved this milestone in a shorter span of time than in 2005.
IndiaGames has released so many press releases that we may as well create an entire section for them on the site. On that note, Danish developer and publisher Touchlink has inked a deal with IndiaGames to distribute more than 20 mobile titles.
