JoWooD has announced that Gothic 3 - The Beginning, which was developed by HandyGames and first announced back in July, has been released.
HandyGames has released Park or Die, a new car game that takes players into the world of, strangely enough, stunt parking.
HandyGames has announced Townsmen 5, part of the long-running Townsmet strategy series developed for Living Mobile.
In Townsmen 5, players take the role of a merciless robber baron bent on conquering settlements and taxing them to their limit. Unfortunately, a magician named Celdron has sent friendly dragons to protect the settlements.
HandyGames has announced the release of a new RTS called game Anarchy 2087.
The game takes place in 2087, when large areas of Europe have become flooded as the result of global warming. Britain, the Netherlands, and parts of Scandinavia, France, and Northern Germany have wiped off the map, and resources are extremely scarce. Players can choose to fight with the emergency government called the European Crisis Team, or side with groups like the Free Survivors who fight for independence.
“We have promised our fans, the press and our partners, to deliver a new strategy-blockbuster this year – and we kept it,” said HandyGames CEO Markus Kassulke. “With Anarchy 2087, we bring the well-known realtime-strategy-experience of the 1990s from the PC to mobile phones!“
The game is available now.
HandyGames has announced an upcoming puzzle/action hybrid called Army of Heroes.
Players take the role of a master magician as he tries to unite humans, orcs, and elves against their common enemy, the legions of undead. Skeletal warriors are marching across the land and it’s up to you to stop them while keeping the shaky alliance between the three races intact. The game features 40 levels where you must keep enough of your heroes alive to make it to the magic teleporters, as well as three terrains to campaign across: forest, snow, and lava.
The game will be available starting August 7th.
JoWooD Productions has announced that they have chosen HandyGames to develop Gothic 3 - The Beginning for mobile phones.
On the PC, Gothc 3 tells the story of the Nameless Hero, who arrives on a continent to find that humans have been enslaved by orcs. The hero can join the small human rebellion, assist the orcs in taking down the last human stronghold, or choose his own path. Features of the mobile version include many NPCs to chat and trade with, hundreds of monsters to fight, and many magical spells to cast. Equipment can be taken off defeated foes or found on the treasure chests scattered around the game.
Gothic 3 - The Beginning will be available in early 2008.
HandyGames has released details on their upcoming real time strategy game Sturmtrupp Mars - Operation Roasted Bugs.
We previously reported on the trailer and screenshots that HandyGames released, but no details of the game were known until now. The player will take on the role of commander of the armed forces of Mars as they face a insect-like alien army. The game features 25 missions on three different landscapes, 15 different types of buildings, 12 unlockable power ups, and more.
“HandyGames is well-known for its complex strategy-titles…. In 2007, we want to take a step further and – with Sturmtrupp Mars – open a new chapter concerning the genre of action-strategy,” said CEO Markus Kassulke. “Even better, we are currently working on a surprise concerning realtime-strategy which will be ready for Christmas season!”
The game will be available July 10th.
HandyGames has released a trailer and a few screenshots for an upcoming game called Sturmtrupp Mars.
Sturmtrupp Mars is a real time strategy game where you must fight alien bugs on the planet Mars. No other details are known right now, but you can view the trailer and the screenshots and get a taste of the game.
GAMEVIL has announced that they have signed a distribution deal with developer HandyGames, and as part of it they will be bringing Bulldozer Inc. to the US.
Bulldozer Inc. is an action game where you must knock down row upon row of condemned buildings. It’s not just that simple, however: falling debris can damage your dozer, and you have to make sure that no construction workers get missed in the shuffle.
“Many developers share a similar mission as GAMEVIL; creating mobile games with that ‘it’ element of game play which delineates an exceptional mobile game from a common one,” said Allen G.
