Katamari now available for the iPhone

I love the idea of console games coming to mobile. Back when QB was first starting out, we were solely about mobile games. The problem was, they all totally sucked. It made for a really cynical blog that pretty much only doled out bad reviews. Most of our hate was concentrated on the RAZR and every game that came with it. I constantly talked about how the day will come when mobile gaming will be fun and we’ll have genuine console ports. It’s incredible that I’m still blogging and that day has come.

Katamari is now available for the iPhone. Heck yeah! The game costs $8 on the App Store and although I haven’t played it yet, it seems to have most of the functionality of the original game.

Nintaii BlackBerry game review

BlackBerry game

Though I wasn’t a big fan of their Poker Odds Calculator Pro, I really like Mobigloo’s Nintaii for BlackBerry. Some of you may remember us mentioning Nintaii back in October when we discussed the finalists for the BlackBerry Developer Challenge. ‘Nintai,’ a Japanese Kanji that means “patience” offers users a great experience from start to finish - if you can, that is. It’s easy to install, and there’s virtually no setup. The controls are easy to learn and operate. And, there are about 100 different levels (of increasing difficulty), so with a little perseverance this game may in fact teach you all about the meaning of patience.

Toy Bot Diaries Entry 2 for iPhone now available iTunes App Store

IUGO

The sequel to IUGO’s much loved Toy Bot Diaries has launched on the App Store. Toy Bot Diaries Entry 2 has more levels, more content, more graphics and of course the little robot that everyone finds just so freaking adorable. In the first entry, our little robot faced off against the giant flame spewing evil bot, eventually shooting him with a cork in the face that pushed his sorry ass down a pit. In Entry 2, we begin where we left off; climbing out of the dingy sewers and into a whole new world of challenges in the sky.

Toy Bot Diaries Entry 2 is available on the App Store for $3.99.

Learn to develop iPhone games with Qantm college

    iPhone games

Here is a great example of how iPhone games and the App Store are going to truly take over mobile entertainment. Now there is an Australian college, Qantm, offering courses in iPhone game development. The courses cost $7,300 USD and are available at any Australian or European Qantm college. I’m looking forward to seeing all the cool games developed and offered for free because they’re some guy’s term project.
