LG’s Prada was among the first touch screen devices in Korea. It’s elegant design and expensive branding made it a hit with Seoul’s young and trendy. It’s successor, the Prada 2, will be arriving in Europe along with a Bluetooth-enabled watch called the Prada Link (model LG-LBA-T950) that flashes call notifications and shows SMS messages. The Prada 2 will have all the great specs you would expect from a luxury device such as 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, 5 megapixel camera, haptic feedback, video calling, slider QWERTY keypad, and a 240 x 400 3″ touchscreen. Oh yeah, and it’s 300 euros.
Not much to say here, as the BlackBerry Storm hype train continues worldwide. If previous Storm news wasn’t enough to make you want the device, I doubt this video will push you over, but it is cool how they imply that the Storm gives you semi-super powers.
Here is a great example of how iPhone games and the App Store are going to truly take over mobile entertainment. Now there is an Australian college, Qantm, offering courses in iPhone game development. The courses cost $7,300 USD and are available at any Australian or European Qantm college. I’m looking forward to seeing all the cool games developed and offered for free because they’re some guy’s term project.

Ringtones are without a doubt one of the most popular mobile markets out there, and apparently a healthy chunk of them aren’t playing by the rules. The European Union has looked at over 500 websites and found that 80% garnered investigation in regards to misleading charges, secret contract agreements, and misusing the word “free”. There’s an FAQ detailing how the EU is going to continue the process, and they’ve already posted a list of many retailers who have been flagged, so before you buy any ringtones, be sure to make sure they’re legit, and for your own sake, read the fine print. In the end, you could just use cellsea to convert your own ringtones…
Arjan at the Mobile Games Blog found out that Fishlabs’s games will be hitting a bunch of countries in East Europe courtesy of Mobivention. Congratulations to gamers out that way, and don’t forget their weekly contest.
