Hands-On announces Japanese Puzzle

Hands-On Mobile has announced a new game pack called Japanese Puzzles.

The game combines three Japanese puzzle game together in one pack: Tenpenki, Kakuro, and the ubiquitous Sudoku. Tenpenki is a logic puzzle where players must use clues, in the form of numbers on each row and column, to create a picture in a grid. Kakuro is a form of mathematical crossword puzzle and is second only to Sudoku itself in popularity in Japan.

“Japanese Puzzles is a unique game that combines the familiarity of Sudoku with different and equally challenging games that will attract both new and avid puzzle fans,” said Eric Hobson, President and General Manager EMEA at Hands-On Mobile. “The puzzle sector is a vast market, and one where demand still exceeds supply. We are looking forward to helping people everywhere combat boredom wherever they may be with the three addictive and re-playable puzzle games in Japanese Puzzles.”

Hands-On to distribute The Witcher: Crimson Trail

Hands-On Mobile has announced a deal with Breakpoint Games to distribute The Witcher: Crimson Trail.

The game is based on a book series of the same name, first published by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski in 1986. Players take on the role of Geralt, a famous monster slayer and master swordfighter. Using his supernatural abilities and reflexes, as well as his skill with many weapons, gamers have to fight through hordes of creatures spread throughout 12 levels.

“The Witcher is a highly anticipated PC game launch and we are very excited to be delivering the mobile version to a global audience,” said Eric Hobson, President and General Manager of EMEA at Hands-On. “The Witcher has an amazing history and a pedigree in the RPG genre which will mean that we will be delivering a premium product to an enthusiastic fan base.”

Hands-On will be distributing the game throughout Western Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific.

Hands-On releases Pro Bowling 2

Hands-On has announced the release of follow-up sports game Pro Bowling 2.

The sequel expands the series with new characters, bringing the total to 18, competing in a number of tournaments of various difficulties. There are also 12 special missions and a number of game modes including quick play, training, tournament, and special mode, as well as a hotseat multiplayer mode.

“Bowling games are one of few games in the crowded sports genre that are regularly played by casual gamers, and in Pro Bowling 2 we are launching what is probably the best bowling game available,” said Eric Hobson, President and General Manager of EMEA at Hands-On Mobile. “There are a number of other bowling games out there, but none of them offer the richness of options that ours does so there will be great demand for a fresh game, particularly one as feature-rich and playable as Pro Bowling 2.”

Crystal Quest coming to mobile

Hands-On Mobile has announced that they have signed a deal with AT New Media to bring the arcade classic Crystal Quest to mobile phones.

Originally released on the Mac in 1987, Crystal Quest is an action-filled arcade game where players must guide their small ship through a playfield, collecting crystals to open a gateway and escape the level. There are 12 different kinds of enemies, with a new enemy being revealed every three levels. Each enemy type has its own personality and requires a new strategy to defeat.

“Crystal Quest is an iconic arcade classic with gameplay that is perfectly suited to the mobile platform and is now sure to win a fresh set of fans,” said Eric Hobson, President and General Manager of EMEA at Hands-On Mobile. “We are delighted that Hands-On Mobile has been chosen to create and distribute mobile games on a property with such a strong gaming heritage as Crystal Quest, which has with thousands of gamers worldwide.”

Hands-On Mobile plans to launch a series of Crystal Quest games throughout the United States, Europe, and the Pacific Rim.

Hands-On Mobile releases World Poker Tour 2 in Europe

Hands-On Mobile has announced the release of World Poker Tour Texas Hold ‘Em 2 to UK company 3UK.

Hands-On has stated that the game, which until now had only been available in the US, is the first time that a European audience will have access to a free multiplayer World Poker Tour game. The game has enjoyed wide success in the US, with roughly 10,000 unique players players per day playing 200,000 hands a week.

“We have been looking forward to this launch for a long time and we are all incredibly excited to bring the huge success of multiplayer World Poker Tour on mobile from the US to Europe,” said Eric Hobson, President and General Manager of the EMEA region at Hands-On Mobile. “Poker is a real community game and now, with World Poker Tour Texas Hold ‘Em 2, that community will be able to play and interact with each other no matter where they are in the world.”

Hands-On Mobile releases LEGO Brick Breaker

Hands-On Mobile, in collaboration with Kiloo and TT Publishing, has announced the release of a new brick-bashing game called LEGO Brick Breaker.

Players in the game are on a quest to defeat an evil king and rescue the people of the LEGO world. Gamers use a modifiable paddle to smash through bricks to free the LEGO people, who are imprisoned behind a variety of LEGO structures. The game features a multitude of powerups and a few innovations to the genre, such as having to free the people to move to the next level and a scrolling play area.

“LEGO Brick Breaker is the latest in a series of LEGO games we have produced, all of which have proved extremely popular with a wide demographic,” said Eric Hobson, President and General Manager of EMEA at Hands-On. “The success of many mobile games often depends on the strength of the associated brand, and in the LEGO brand, we have one of the strongest, most recognised brands in the world. Hands-On Mobile to bring Korean games West

Hands-On mobile has announced their intention to fast-track some of South Korea’s most popular games to the European market, reports MobileIndustry.biz.

“South Korea has an extremely enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate gaming community and this has resulted in the most developed mobile phone game market in the world,” said Eric Hobson of Hands-On. “Hands-On Mobile wants to use its global reach to cherry pick the best games and ensure as many people as possible have the chance to experience the exciting cutting edge games that players in Korea enjoy.”

Their “Best of Korea” range will begin with Heroes Lore: Wind of Soltia and Sushi Mania.
