Eidos Interactive announces SolaRola

Eidos Interactive has released some details regarding an upcoming game called SolaRola.

The action/puzzle hybrid is built around the heroes Wiz and Waz, a pair of bloblike alien brothers who are the last hope to save the universe from the evil Ping the Merciless. The game features 25 levels and a soundtrack from The Maniacs of Noise. Also featured is a custom graphics engine that allows any object on the screen to be freely scaled and rotated for a number of interesting effects.

“SolaRola is a compelling mix of puzzles and action. Objects and characters can be freely scaled and rotated bringing something a bit different to mobile games,” said Simon Protheroe, IT director at Eidos. “Wiz and Waz are funny guys, or rather blobs, and a welcome addition to the Eidos team!”

The game is scheduled for release this September.

Eidos releases Championship Manager 2007

Eidos Interactive has announced the release of the 2007 edition of their mobile game Championship Manager.

The football game promises up to the minute data for football fans, more English and European teams and players, more tactics and training regimes, as well as pre- and post-match press conferences and an enhanced interface.

“CM 2007 is faster and slicker game and when you consider the last version was the best-selling football game for mobile phones and award-winning, it shows you just how good this version is,” said Allison Archer, Producer at Eidos New Media. “We’ve beefed up the feature list for the game, increased the number of players and teams and made the interface even more accessible so we’re confident that we’ll be retaining our No.1 crown with CM 2007.”
