Dynamo Games announces The Crystal Maze

Dynamo Games has announced that they will be releasing a mobile version of The Crystal Maze, the cult TV series.

“The Crystal Maze is a perfect format for mobile gaming,” said Brian McNicoll, the managing director of Dynamo Games. “The show’s variety of short tasks, challenges and puzzles, translates very nicely onto mobile phones and the way people play with them.”

The show ran from 1990 to 1995, and still runs on digital channels in the UK. It was voted “The Best Gameshow of All Time” by visitors to www.ukgameshows.com.

Gamers will able to puzzle their way through The Crystal Maze’s Aztec, Medieval, Industrial and Futuristic zones in Q4 of this year.

Countdown game to launch

Dynamo Games has announced that, through a licensing deal with Granada Ventures, a mobile phone game based on the hit UK show “Countdown” is on the way. The game will include puzzle, word, and math challenges… all played against the clock (just like in the show itself). Dynamo’s Brian McNicoll explains that Countdown will be published for mobile users in the UK and Ireland.

According to MobileIndustry.biz, Countdown will be available later this month via the Dynamo Games website for 5 pounds.
