Mobile fuel cell charger gives any phone 10 times more juice

We’ve done a lot of posting about iPhone batteries on this site because the iPhone is in desperate need of more juice, constantly. Now you can charge any phone with the Mobion fuel cell charger. This baby will give you up to ten times the original battery life on a single charge. It’s powered by a 100% methanol fuel-based chip that’s covered on all sides with 110 patents of intellectual property. The device is about the size of an external hard drive that fits in the palm of your hand. The company that develops the product, MTI MicroFuel, are said to be running out of money, which has been coming from Samsung, but hopefully this product makes it to the market. I’m sure it would be a hit.

STORM iPhone battery gives 6 hours of talk time

I love writing about these extra batteries for the iPhone because apparently my iPhone is one of the worst on the market for battery life. It will not last 24 hours of “normal” usage. The custom-designed the STORM 1900mAh battery will give the iPhone 3G 6 hours of additional talking time. The battery weighs 65g and is 67x 62×15 (mm) in dimension. Go iPhone Go!

iPhone battery life by Power Slider by Incase

iPhone battery pack

We’ve seen a number of iPhone battery enhancers in the past year and yet they seem to disappear before anyone can get their hands on one. For example, iPhone Battery Sleeve by FastMac went quickly out of supply and will resume shipping soon. Also, Mophie’s Juice Pack seemed promising but I don’t think it has even been released yet. I’m hoping this won’t be the case with the Power Slider by Incase.

The Power Slider by Incase promises to double your phone’s power for up to 5 hours talk time on the 3G network (10 hours on 2G), increase your audio playback time to 26 hours, and increase your video playback time to 7 hours. You can even sync your device while the battery pack is attached. We don’t have any details about pricing yet, but the pack should be available starting November 28.

Improve your iPhone battery life with FastMac’s iV battery pack

by FastMac

Mophie’s Juice Pack has been taking a really long time to hit the market. They’re still offering it for pre-order but that’s it. Now there’s an alternative. The iV battery pack by FastMac promises up to 24 hours of talk time, 750 hours (31 days) of standby, 20+ hours of video and almost 72 hours of audio playback time. The pack also comes with a built-in LED flash/flashlight and a second USB port to charge additional gadgets. It’s also cheaper than Mophie’s Juice Pack at $80.

Increase your iPhone 3G battery life with Mophie’s Juice Pack

The Mophie Juice Pack

I’ve had an iPhone 3G for a few months now and the battery life is starting to really get on my nerves. If I use it like a normal phone, I’ll probably get 2 days of life out of it. But who wants to do that? If I’m watching YouTube videos and using the iPod feature, I rarely get to 6pm. With Mophie’s Juice Pack, you get up to 350 additional hours of standby, up to 6 hours of 3G talk time (or 12 hours on 2G) and another 6 hours of web surfing. Now THAT is the type of iPhone usage I want.

External battery and loudspeaker for the iPhone and iPhone 3G

External battery and loudspeaker for the iPhone

I’ve been using the iPhone 3G for about 2 months now and the battery life has been a bit of a downer. It will barely last a single day with my sort of use. Brando, has helped this issue by creating an external battery that also comes with a loudspeaker. Talk about 2 birds with 1…external battery pack. It’s only $44 too.

Keep your battery charged - it could save your life

How a phone will save your life

Remember girls, ALWAYS keep a charge on your mobile.

I found a really interesting story on CO-ED Magazine about a woman whose life was saved by her phone. The woman writing the story, had turned off her phone because it was running out of batteries and as she says: “You don’t want to have a dead phone in case of an emergency.”

That night, a few hours later, a taxi driver locked her in the cab and refused to let her out. She started screaming at the man and he claimed the meter was broken and he couldn’t let her out. She immediately powered on her dead phone and called 911 for help. Police officers let her out of the vehicle that was going God knows where, and also discovered the meter was working fine. The rest of the story will take place in court.

The author, Elizabeth of Baruch College warns: “Please let this be a lesson to all of you out there, particularly the women, to always have your cell phones on hand (and charged) just in case.”
