Gameloft’s game Miami Nights: Singles in the City has won a Meffy award, reports MobileIndustry.biz.

“We are particularly honoured to have been chosen by our peers for this coveted award which takes both quality and sales achievement into account,” commented Alexandre Tan, managing director of Gameloft UK. “Miami Nights: Singles in the City is one of our top selling games and sale continue to climb thanks to critical acclaim.”

The Meffy awards reward creativity and innovation in gaming at the Mobile Entertainment Awards.

Deal or No Deal tops mobile gaming chart

The ELSPA has released figures showing that Gameloft’s Deal or No Deal is the best selling mobile game in the UK for the third month running.

“Deal or No Deal has taken the mobile game markets by storm,” said Alexandre Tan, Country Manager at Gameloft UK. “We knew that with such a strong mass market licence the game would do well, but the actual results have been absolutely incredible. The success of Desperate Housewives is confirming that our commercial and licensing strategy is paying off and reinforces that mobile gaming is a truly mass market, with a huge interest from women and other non classic video games addicts.”

Deal or No Deal has already sold over half a million units in four months.
