Uploading AVI’s to the BlackBerry Curve

I have tried a few times to get videos on my BlackBerry and it has been a real pain. YouTube is not compatible with the BlackBerry and TinyTube is so bad that you shouldn’t waste your time with it. After some quick Google searches, I came across a clean looking video converter by Mediacell. Since I’m a Mac user, I had to use my friend’s PC because BlackBerrys and Macs don’t work together like Itchy and Scratchy. Continue reading ‘Uploading AVI’s to the BlackBerry Curve’

BlackBerry screenshots made easier

After Devin posted about how taking screenshots with a BlackBerry is a grueling process, we got an email from Rove who were all “Actually it’s a cinch with our Mobile Viewer for BlackBerry” so we gave it a go. Now we’re going to have to retract out statement that “Taking BlackBerry screenshots is a huge pain” and change it to “Taking BlackBerry screenshots isn’t a pain but Mac is still left in the dark.” Continue reading ‘BlackBerry screenshots made easier’

Uploading MP3s to the BlackBerry Curve

It’s incredibly easy to load MP3’s to your BlackBerry once you have installed the media card. All you have to do is drag and drop into the music folder and you’re ready to rock. Back to TinyTube with my new chip

Ok so now that I have a 4GB chip I’m ready to start downloading clips from TinyTunes. I’m still very reluctant to start using this service especially because I’m going to be paying for the data and my plan only allows about 30mb per month. So if I could go through my entire data plan this month and completely ruin my finances. Continue reading ‘Back to TinyTube with my new chip’

4GB MicroSD chip for the BlackBerry Curve

box
After having no success with YouTube Mobile or TinyTube, I thought I would go and get a MicroSD chip so I can save TinyTube videos, since the streaming does not work, as well as fill my phone with music and videos. Apparently, the Curve can play .avi’s so if that is the case then this device has totally redeemed itself as a mobile entertainment device. Continue reading ‘4GB MicroSD chip for the BlackBerry Curve’

TinyTube.net on the BlackBerry Curve

TinyTube pic
After having no success with YouTube Mobile, I decided to give TinyTube.net a try because I heard that it works with the Curve. Not entirely true. I couldn’t stream any videos and because I didn’t have a memory chip yet, I couldn’t save the videos either.

YouTube Mobile on the BlackBerry Curve

YouTube Mobile
The BlackBerry 8330 is 3G and therefore you should have access to really fast streaming video and audio. That being said, I decided to check out YouTube which could provide plenty of entertainment while taking the bus to work. Continue reading ‘YouTube Mobile on the BlackBerry Curve’

Pimping out the Pearl

A BlackBerry Pearl
After reading Kyle’s first impressions on his BlackBerry Curve, I decided I should see what I could improve on my Pearl. I’ve had it for a little while now but haven’t really explored much beyond the basic phone, email, calendar, and task features. Being a gamer at heart, I figured I’d give those a shot first.
