Following hot on the heels of the IMGA’s call for entries, QB got the chance to sit down (via Skype) and chat with Maarten Noyons, Managing Director of the International Mobile Gaming Awards. Lean back and enjoy as Douglas “Tron” Soltys and Mr. Noyons discuss the growth of the IMGA, industry consolidation, and what’s going on in Europe and Asia. Post-interview, glisten in shock and awe as Tron and Wes Tam, QB’s developer extraordinaire, get into a heated debate as to whether or not an industry event like the International Mobile Gaming Awards is even worth-while.

In a brave attempt to survive the craziness that is Brew 2007, Douglas “Tron” Soltys holds court with Qualcomm’s Mike Yuen and Vivendi’s Oliver Miao. Listen in as the ‘BREW’ Crew discusses the Signature Solution and its potential affect on episodic content, user generated content, and brand awareness. Somehow, the Goo Goo Dolls and helicopter rides also find their way into the mix.
Thanks to everyone who made BREW 2007 an awesome show!
Not only is the QuicklyBored staff of a surly nature, we’re also quite lazy. So instead of transcribing the myriad interviews we’ll be undertaking for BREW 2007 in the next few days, we thought it best to create a handy one-stop-shop for all interviews in lovely audio form. Not only is it easier for you, our readers, to find quality commentary from some of the brightest minds within our industry, it makes it easier for us to slip away and

We’ve been getting great feedback for the constant stream of GDC Video that’s been flowing through QB lately, so we thought we’d tie it all together into a nice neat little package for you. Contained within this special video podcast are highlights from our previous videos, as well as a couple new treats that you haven’t seen yet. Enjoy!

Hey kids, took us a bit longer to get some GDC video up, but here’s part one of a massive a/v onslaught. Enjoy Nokia’s Director of 3rd-Party Publishing talking about the new N-Gage platform.

This one we’re really proud of. Fresh off a podcast marred by audio problems and the drunkenness of the QB staff, we rebound with an hour-long slugfest with Robert Tercek, GDC Mobile’s day two keynote speaker.
Listen as we postmortem GDC Mobile, bitch about porting and Flash Lite and passionately debate the essence of mobile game design. Pay special attention to how well Rob deftly navigates our malnourished and overtired corpses to provide interesting audio material. If there was ever a time to join the QB podcast bandwagon, it’s now.
Wow, after major technical hurdles and a lack of good wi-fi, we finally get our first GDC podcast up. Wes and I had a chance to sit down with Mike Yuen of Qualcomm and Jefferson Valadares of Sumea to talk about Trip Hawkins, Nokia’s N-Gage platform, what we think of GDC Mobile, and who works for the smaller company.
Special Note: We totally dropped the ball recording this one, and as a result, Jeff’s supple and sensitive voice doesn’t come through very well. Sorry buddy! Next time, say it loud and proud like Mike!
