Windows Mobile’s email application might not be perfect, but one thing it really has going for it is how simple it is to switch from one email account to another very quickly.
If you’re like me, you have a handful of emails that you check on a regular basis — your work email, your personal email, the email address you use when you sign up for something that could potentially spam you with Viagra ads… etc.
Seems like today the spotlight is on the Samsung Epix - with reviews and videos all around. Above - Pocketnow’s unboxing video.
According to WM Experts, the processor on the Epix is awesome, but its biggest weakness is its touch screen which they claim to lack the smoothness and efficiency seen on other WinMo devices.
Do you have a BlackJack? If so, I’d love to hear if the Epix appeals to you or if you’ll sit this one out and wait for the next BlackJack.
Today I had a bit of a scramble to find a reliable internet connection in order to bring you the latest Windows Mobile news so I decided now was a good time to use WinMo’s Internet Sharing application. If you haven’t tried this out - I suggest you do! It’s very easy and works better than you expect it will, I assure you. For a bit of a how-to guide and some explanation, please continue reading!
If you’re like me, you use your phone for all kinds of things besides making phone calls. I watch videos, play games, surf the web, and listen to music almost constantly! So here are a few of my personal favourite audio and video applications. They are in no particular order as it’s difficult to pick and choose between them - they’re all very cool and useful in their own ways. So have a look through and grab a few and let me know what you think!
In this video, Norwegian iPhone developer Erik Kristiansen has apparently developed an application that will let you boot into Windows Mobile on your iPhone. Gearlog has gone ahead and called shenanigans on this story, saying they’ve made some calls and exposed this as a viral internet marketing campaign. My question: Why this video? What kind of marketing is this? (Okay, so the second question is really more of an exclamation of disbelief.) Have any of you tried out Sonic Emotion? Is it worth all this attention?
Ever wish your phone cackled like a witch every time your phone rang? Me neither. But someone out there must, right? Well, just in case that person is you - go ahead and head on over to the Windows Mobile site to pick through some scary Halloween ringtones for your phone. They’ve got howls and hoots and… vampire noises? Hrmm. Teeth gnashing? Maybe vampires laugh a certain way or make creepy cartoon noises when they walk? Huh.
Wow - this is unexpected. Remember when the HTC Diamond made its first appearance in white and we were surprised? Check this out!
The good news? Looks like the HTC Touch Diamond is going to be available in seven different colours: White, Blue, brown, pink, yellow, purple, and red. The bad news? Looks like the HTC Touch Diamond is going to be available in seven different colours… IN FRANCE.
Hooray for France! Booo for the rest of us. Still, they look pretty slick. I’ll take one of each, please.
Love World of Warcraft? I know plenty of my friends really do. I personally don’t play it for the sole reason that I know it’d be impossible to tear me away from it! Well, if you can’t seem to tear yourself away from it, WoW Player is for you.
View yours and your friends’ characters profiles for World of Warcraft right on your Windows Mobile Pocket PC device!

Watch as David Bruce of HTC talks about some of the highlights of T-Mobile’s HTC offerings. You might find out something you didn’t know! And, if you’re like me, you’ll get a good laugh over the acting. I particularly loved the phone conversation with Joe at the beginning. Poor Joe is clearly completely daft.
Check out around 3:30 where HTC promotes the fact that they can play Nintendo games.
