If you have GarageBand, iTunes and some mp3s on your Mac, then you are set for making sweet ringtones. It’s incredibly easy and the process doesn’t take long at all. I’ll break down the simple steps and even talk a little about some general points surrounding how to make a great ringtone.
In order to make a ringtone with GarageBand all you have to do is import the audio into GarageBand and use the Edit>Split function to cut the track down to what you’ll be using.
Then use Share>Export Ringtone to iTunes and the program will ask you to select the part that will be repeating. Just drag the yellow bar above to select the part that you’ll be using as your ringtone and try exporting again.
Your ringtone will then be sent to iTunes and you can sync it with your iPhone. After that, just go into the settings and set up your new ringtone. Easy isn’t it?
