I played IUGO’s Toy Bot Diaries: Entry 1, and I have to say I am hooked. The game makes full use of the iPhone’s touchscreen and it’s a great way to spend either 15 minutes or more. This is just an intro video and we’ll be posting more to come. Things are just a little hectic here preparing for CTIA. Stay tuned and we’ll walk you through some of the more difficult levels.

I’ll be at CTIA this year so expect a lot of content coming out between September 10-12th. It’s going to be a great show with a huge roster of companies attending. If you want to hook up at the show, drop me an email (kyle at quicklybored dawt com). I’ll update you with what companies we’ll be talking to and what to expect. Have a good weekend everyone!

MobiPad gives you control of your Nokia S60 phone using a Nintendo WiiMote. The wireless gamepad gives you a wireless means of connecting the phone and WiiMote so you can play mobile games in a whole new way.
All you have to do is turn on Bluetooth and select “Discover Wiimote” in the mobiPad options menu. Turn on the WiimOte and they both sync up. Easy! Now you can play S60 Quake, Doom Legacy, vBag and more with a sweet WiiMote interface. Connect your phone to a TV and you have a portable console!

Android will be launching an app store called Android Market. This is really exciting news because a handset manufacturer making its own app store is way better than a carrier doing the same. There has been talk of T-Mobile rolling out an iTunes like app store but the problem is that a carrier will not be able to reap the same benefits as a manufacturer when it comes to selling your own apps. If a manufacturer begins to reap the profits of a healthy app store, it can afford to make better and cheaper hardware that will in turn feed the app store. Creating a perpetual cycle of awesomeness. If T-Mobile were to run its own app store, those profits can’t get reinvested in hardware for the consumer. We love the iTunes store because it makes a million dollars a day and allows Apple to focus on making the hardware better.
