Vodafone UK is fully supporting the HTC Touch Diamond and saying that it is a superior device to the iPhone. Here at QuicklyBored, we do recognize that the HTC Touch Diamond has some qualities that make it superior such as a higher resolution display, smaller size, a higher resolution camera and a tilt sensor but Vodafone has gone a little far. Here is the quote:
Feature rich Windows Mobile 6.1 device utilising HTC’s new Touchflow UI. This device is in a tablet form factor meaning it is touch screen only. The Diamond surpasses the iPhone in all aspects, the key differentiator is the inherent flexibility of the Diamond. It comes loaded with Vodafone Email Plus and the Vodafone Sat Nav program.

You forgot the true GPS in the HTC plus they won’t brick your phone for you like Apple will. Those crazy ppl at HTC seem to think you own your phone after buying it. Don’t know how they’ll ever be as cool as Apple with thinking like that!!!
why not? the iphone 3g has still just too much issues - even the most simple functions are missing like copy and paste flash browser support and the main factor for me is the diaplay. only knowing the iphone’s you may find it ok, but once you’ve seen the diamond, you want to throw your ihone into the bin - thats what ill do…
Okay let me clarify:
by “gone a little far”, I didn’t mean to swear a blind allegiance to the iPhone. What I really meant to address was the quote:
“The Diamond surpasses the iPhone in all aspects”
“Gone a little far” means they haven’t addressed certain clear advantages the iPhone has over the Diamond. Let’s have a balanced discussion about it:
1) The content discovery and purchase system built into the iPhone is, in my opinion, superior due to its ability to deliver multiple forms of media under one banner. Think about the uneducated consumer. They have access to all forms of media in a simple and easy to purchase system.
2) The graphic and industrial design. You can’t beat Apple’s love for the clean and simple.
3) Honestly, I am so sick of being forced into a third point.

is that true that we can use the same htc as quadband?
i have beeen told that updating the rom will make it quadband

Hi Silence - my name’s Bambi Blue and I’m a writer at WindowsMobile Cool (dot com)
Well, let me tell you - getting an answer out of sntraders was not easy. I shot them an email right after Kyle directed me to your question and this morning they finally got back to me with:
“Yes it is possible. And we have these units in stock.
Best regards
SN Traders”
Hope that helps!
