China is set to launch trials of its mobile TV standard, CMMB. China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting will go live in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen with seven programmes available free of charge during the trial period. At first there will be a USB dongle for laptops, but SD card receivers and Bluetooth receivers will be available by the time of the Beijing Olympic Games.
