TV Guide Mobile

Mobile TV Guide
TV Guide has only been a fairly integral part of the TV watching experience. People collect TV Guides and can get pretty obsessive over them. Handmark has combined 2 things that are oddly addictive and released TV Guide Mobile for the BlackBerry. I gave it a try and it seems like it would be awesome if I didn’t live in Canada.

Apparently the service isn’t available in Canada because there were no options for me to select my tiny-nobody-cares country from their list of countries and services.

After inputting all your information about where you live and what television provider you use, you’ll want to head over to the main menu. From there you have access to the following:

Listings - Shows you what’s on and at what time.
Search - Allows you to search for shows and movies.
Watch List - A bookmark type of tool for your programming.
Hot List - A list of popular programming.
News - Gossip and TV Guide type news.
Settings - Duh.
Help - Doye.

Now you can start programming all your favorite shows and building your TV viewing life into your mobile life.

TV Guide Mobile is way better than the paper version and includes:

• Program reminders by episode or series delivered as an SMS text message
• Home and away options to view schedules for multiple locations
• Share a show with friends or family by forwarding listing details
• Customise your listings to show both national TV and your local listings by simply entering your zip code when you first install the application
• Recommend a show to a friend by forwarding individual TV listings to them directly from the application
