This is awesome. Some dedicated hackers have ported Quake 3 over to the iPod Touch. Different kinds of taps will cause you to shoot or to jump, while you control your character by tilting the device and letting the accelerometer do the work. It’s obvious from the video that the controls need a little bit of fine-tuning, but it’s a great example of just how powerful the iPhone and iPod can be.
