Nokia and Spike Lee team up for mobile film comp

This news comes from MocoNews and the Washington Post: Nokia and director Spike Lee are going to “direct a short film comprising YouTube-style videos created by teenagers and adults using their mobile phones.” Users will go to the Nokia Productions site to upload material and Lee and his assistant directors will dig through the material and compile it in a community based fashion into a movie. Although Nokia claims this isn’t a “marketing gimmick”, rest assured it will be cool but obviously for the benefit of Nokia.
