A new app called GoSpoken has just been announced and will let you download audiobooks if you’re lucky enough to live in the UK. It’s got the full backing of the Random House Group, one of the largest book publishers in the world. Books from authors like John Grisham, Andy McNab, James Patterson and many more are already available for download. The company suggests using an HSDPA phone and having a good data plan before downloading, as the files are obviously quite large, but they’re split up into smaller chunks for users on slower networks. All in all it’s a damn neat service, and I hope it makes it to other countries soon.
