SCi lays off 25% of staff

Depressed dude
SCi, who recently bought Eidos Interactive, have announced that they are laying off 25% of their employees and cutting projects by 14%, reports the Mobile Games Blog.

The move comes as part of the radical restructuring intended to bring the company out of the red. The company cut products it felt were least likely to provide enough return, and will be focusing more on their core products. For Eidos, these are products like Tomb Raider, which has done very well in the mobile sector, as well as Hitman and Championship Manager.

SCi remains open to acquisition talks, but is not actively looking for someone to buy them out.
