Zeemote releases mobile game controller

ZeemoteZeemote has announced the launch of the Zeemote JS1, a standalone wireless controller for mobile gaming.

The JS1 features an analog thumbstick and four programmable buttons while weighing only 1.7 ounces and measuring 3.7×1.4×0.8 inches. Game companies such as Eidos, Finblade, Fishlabs, and SEGA have already announced support for the product and modified some games — including Tomb Raider, Helistrike 3D, and Sonic the Hedgehog — to work with the new device.

“Developers, operators, and gamers tell us the Zeemote JS1 controller is what they’ve been waiting for to unleash the real potential of mobile gaming,” said Zeemote CEO Beth Marcus. “We’re already in discussions with a number of operators and manufacturers regarding bundling the controller with games and handsets.”

The company will be available for meetings and demonstrations at the upcoming Mobile World Congress, located at Hall 7, IZ 24.
