Glu has partnered with Fox to bring games based on the Ice Age movie series to mobile phones.
The move comes following the announcement of Ice Age 3, the latest 3D movie in the $1.2 billion grossing brand. Glu is no stranger to the series, having developed Ice Age 2: Arctic Slide, which was one of their top-selling games in 2006.

Nokia has launched a new game called Yamake for their N-Gage platform. Yamake is centered around user-generated content. “Ya make” your own games by choosing from a range of mini-games and adding custom content. Text, pictures, sounds, and movies from the user’s phone or PC can be added to the game to make it personalized. Created games can be shared on the N-Gage Arena, the Yamake community, or via messages between N-Gage compatible devices.

Ojom is ringing in Valentine’s Day with the launch of Romeo and Juliet. Players take control of Romeo on his quest to save sweet Juliet from her father, who has imprisoned her in his castle. The platforming game has Romeo sneaking, sprinting, and fighting through the guards of the castle to reach Juliet. After he reaches her, he then has to turn around and fight his way back out of the castle.

Vivendi Games Mobile has announced the launch of The Spiderwick Chronicles, based on the upcoming movie of the same name. Players are thrust into the world of the Spiderwick film, following along as the siblings Jared, Simon, and Mallory are pulled into a fantasy world by a mysterious book. Players can control up to five different characters, each with their own special abilities to aid in solving puzzles and riddles.

IG Fun has announced that they will be bringing the console and PC hit BioShock to mobile phones. The game takes place in the underwater city of Rapture, founded on the principles of Ayn Rand’s Objectivist philosophy. A plane crash survivor finds himself trapped in the now-ruined city and must escape from the hellish denizens with the help of a few sane inhabitants and the use of Plasmids, which modify genes to give the user everything from increased strength to telekinesis.

Namco has announced the release of a mobile version of Mr. Do! and its sequel, Mr. Do!’s Castle. The two classic arcade titles, which were demoed at the DigitalLife show last September, both feature a classic mode and a new enhanced mode with updated graphics and new levels and power-ups. In Mr. Do!, players must clear cherries from the game field while avoiding wild animals. Mr. Do!’s Castle takes place in the castle of Mr. Do! which has been overrun with wild unicorns. They must be cleared out before the Magical Clown Act begins.
