Hands-On mobile has announced that the recent launch of Heroes Lore Zero, third in the series of role playing games, has broken their previous sales records.
Over 200,000 copies of the game were sold during the first week of the Korean launch, including the 10,000 pre-orders that were sold 5 days before the launch. The massive number of simultaneous downloads even caused a network crash on one carrier.
“Every installment of the Heroes Lore series has enjoyed an incredibly successful launch, and we’re delighted that Heroes Lore Zero has enjoyed the most successful launch yet,” said Eric Hobson, President and General Manager of EMEA and SE Asia at Hands-On. “We are looking forward to transferring that success outside of Korea when we launch Heroes Lore later this year.”
The first game in the series, Heroes Lore: Wind of Soltia, will be available to European carriers in November, while the sequels Heroes Lore: Knight of the Frozen Sea and Heroes Lore Zero will follow in 2008.
