Konami announces three new games

Konami has announced plans to bring three of their game series to mobile phones this year.

The first title, football game PES 2008 is due out in the fall and features a new graphics and AI engine developed in-house at Konami, as well as realistic ball physics. It aims to be the most realistic football simulation for mobile phones.

Silent Hill is the mobile debut of the long running survival horror series. The game is set within an orphanage in the abandoned and haunted town of Silent Hill, and uses a first person perspective with a point a click interface. It also features three playable characters. It’s scheduled for release in September.

Scheduled to hit phones in December, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow is a mobile version of the Game Boy Advance title. Set in the year 2035, the player and a friend have been trapped in the castle of the Lord of Darkness. The pair must search for a way out, using many weapons and items to defeat the hordes of monsters in the castle. In a new twist, the player can also capture the souls of monsters to gain their abilities.

All three titles will be published via Konami’s distribution agreement with Glu Mobile.
