Crystal Quest coming to mobile

Hands-On Mobile has announced that they have signed a deal with AT New Media to bring the arcade classic Crystal Quest to mobile phones.

Originally released on the Mac in 1987, Crystal Quest is an action-filled arcade game where players must guide their small ship through a playfield, collecting crystals to open a gateway and escape the level. There are 12 different kinds of enemies, with a new enemy being revealed every three levels. Each enemy type has its own personality and requires a new strategy to defeat.

“Crystal Quest is an iconic arcade classic with gameplay that is perfectly suited to the mobile platform and is now sure to win a fresh set of fans,” said Eric Hobson, President and General Manager of EMEA at Hands-On Mobile. “We are delighted that Hands-On Mobile has been chosen to create and distribute mobile games on a property with such a strong gaming heritage as Crystal Quest, which has with thousands of gamers worldwide.”

Hands-On Mobile plans to launch a series of Crystal Quest games throughout the United States, Europe, and the Pacific Rim.
