GAMEVIL has announced that they have signed a distribution deal with developer HandyGames, and as part of it they will be bringing Bulldozer Inc. to the US.
Bulldozer Inc. is an action game where you must knock down row upon row of condemned buildings. It’s not just that simple, however: falling debris can damage your dozer, and you have to make sure that no construction workers get missed in the shuffle.
“Many developers share a similar mission as GAMEVIL; creating mobile games with that ‘it’ element of game play which delineates an exceptional mobile game from a common one,” said Allen G. Lee, Vice President of Business Development at GAMEVIL USA. “We saw this in particular with HandyGames, and Bulldozer Inc. is a fantastic compliment to our portfolio.â€
MNI Premium, a Polish telecommunications company covering about 30% of the premium rate services market in Poland, has announced that they have acquired Breakpoint.
“The creative and sales capabilities of Breakpoint and MoCoHub will serve to broaden the international scope of MNI Premium and enhance its content portfolio,†said Anna Wawrzynowicz, Sales Director of MNI Premium. “The Breakpoint brand will continue to create top-class Java games and offer advergaming and porting services.â€
MNI plans to expand Breakpoint’s market internationally, with a focus on Central Europe.
HandyGames has announced My Model Train, a model train simulator for your mobile phone.
The game features switches, signals, and reversal tracks that all have to be placed to solve logistical problems as quickly as possible. The player has to transport colorful toy passengers and cargo from station to station, choosing the ideal route and avoiding unnecessary shunting. You’ll also have to make sure that the train has enough coal and water to keep going, all while avoiding collisions with other trains.
“My Model Train is just the thing for everyone who always wanted to become a train driver, but never had the space or the money for a model railway in the hobby room!” says Markus Kassulke, CEO of HandyGames.
The game will be released at the end of this month.
Apple has announced that Gameloft’s Lost, based on the hit TV show, will be appearing on the iPod.
The game features a storyline written by the writers behind the show. You take on the role of Jack and will interact with other notables from the show such as Sawyer, Locke, Kate, Sayid, and more. Scenes from the show like the crash, the opening of the hatch, and the first meeting with the others are all present and playable.

THQ Wireless has announced that they have released Prehistoric Fun Park.
Prehistoric Fun Park challenges you to entertain cavemen and women in 1,000,000 B.C. You must build a theme park, keeping your prehistoric guests fed, watered, and entertained. It features 25 rides to obtain and 35 objects to place and arrange, as well as three game modes: campaign, competition, and free play. Five maps are included, and you can even go head-to-head with four other park owners to fight for the most successful park.
THQ Wireless has announced the release of Tangram Super Shapes, a game based on an ancient Chinese puzzle.
The game uses seven pieces called Tans, which fit together to form a square. The objective is to take these pieces and form a specific shape. The shape must contain all seven pieces without the piece overlapping. The game includes over 200 shapes to make, as well as four game modes: arcade, time challenge, random, and creativity.
Developer HeroCraft has announced that they have won the Samsung Game Development Contest with their game $tolen in $ixty $econds.
HeroCraft had two titles in the running for this year, the second being their arcade game Governator 2. HeroCraft general director Pavel Prokonich had this to say about the win: “The success of $tolen in $ixty $econds impresses, although it is barely unexpected. Right after the game’s release it had already got the highest rate at the leading review site of mobile games. We are about to achieve the same success from this time onward.”
New Edge, a publisher and developer based out of Moscow, has announced that they have signed a deal with developer Cocoasoft to bring some of the latter’s games to to Russia.
New Edge has already finalized localization of Cocoasoft’s game Eon The Dragon 3, and plans to bring more titles both old and new. Cocoasoft’s previous games include Eon Domino Island 1 and 2, 3DSports: FreeKick Football, and Car Racer 1 through 3.

Amob has released their list of the top 10 downloaded games for April and Vivendi dominates the list, reports MobileIndustry.biz.
The company is doing very well in South East Asia, with titles such as Crash Racing, The Legend of Spyro and Blackhawk Down helping to secure their hold on the region.

Arjan at the mobile games blog has posted about a report at The Guardian that games have outsold both wallpapers and ringtones at UK based carrier Orange.
In the first quarter of 2007, Orange sold 750,000 games, or 250,000 a month. The top ten selling games were:
