THQ Wireless has announced that they have signed a deal with developer Team 17 to bring Worms 2007 to handhelds worldwide.
The game will features 3D backgrounds on phones that can display it, new weapons, and even a new mission-based single player campaign.
“The addictive style of Worms gameplay has proven to be ideal for the mobile environment,†said Adam Comiskey, Vice President of International at THQ Wireless. “This new version of the classic game will please existing fans of the series, as well as newcomers to the world of Worms.”

Worms 2007 will mix the simple controls and ‘aim-fire-explode’ gameplay that has resonated so well with mobile game players in the past with the very best graphics currently possible on the mobile platform,” said Team 17’s Debbie Bestwick.
