Prey coming to mobile

Skyzone Entertainment has announced that they will be bringing 3D Realms’s Prey to mobile courtesy of developer MarchineWorks Northwest.

The game is a new adventure in the Prey universe. The protagonist Tommy crashes and roles his car, and while searching for help comes across the entrance to a mysterious structure. The game is set to be available on a wide variety of phones, including BREW-based handsets. Levi Buchanan of IGNWireless called the game, which runs on MachineWorks’ Ripp3D engine, “the most graphically advanced mobile game” he’d ever.

“SkyZone has long been a champion of bringing innovative 3D mobile titles to market, and this agreement marks a new era in mobile gaming,” said Andreas Vasen, CEO of MachineWorks Northwest. “MachineWorks and SkyZone share a common view about what makes a great game and how to get the most from today’s technical requirements to deliver a console and PC-like experience.”

The game is set to come out this summer.
