I just got a press release regarding a the company Nareos’ expansion of their PeerBox Mobile service. PeerBox is the first peer-to-peer file sharing network on mobile phones.
Nareos, the pioneering mobile content and entertainment services provider, and Mobile Data Group, a leader in premium mobile content, today announced the signing of a license agreement that dramatically expands the selection of ringtone, video, game, picture and entertainment (quizzes, jokes) content on Nareos increasingly popular PeerBox Mobile service.
Mobile Data Group’s depth in content library and extensive networks adds substantial weight to Nareos content catalogue.
The licensing deal repositions PeerBox Mobile, renowned for its legal downloading of music files, as a one-stop shop for all kinds of mobile content.
PeerBox Mobile users will be able to legally search and download Mobile Data Group’s licensed mobile games, ringtones, video content and more either through the open P2P file sharing networks such as Gnutella or EDonkey or from Nareos online store. Any copyrighted material will be available as paid mobile downloads only.
“The agreement with Mobile Data Group marks a leap forward in our consumer offering of non-music related mobile content” commented Alexander Lazovsky, CEO and Founder of Nareos. “We’re always looking for innovative, colorful and fun content for our PeerBox customers - and Mobile Data Group provide a perfect match.”
“Mobile Data Group supplies a very high quality and diverse range of mobile content that we are sure will be well delivered via the quality channels that Nareos operates, and well received by the market” says Marc Carr, Mobile Data Group CEO. “We are looking forward to a long term relationship that will continue to grow over time.”
