CDC Corp.’s (CHINA.O: Quote, Profile, Research) CDC Games unit on Thursday said the recent U.S. bill on Internet gambling would not affect its mobile games business in China or its partnerships with gaming companies in the United States or overseas.
The company said it does not provide or promote any online gambling assets and all its online games are currently marketed only in China.
The U.S. Congress on Sept. 30 approved a bill on Internet gambling, which would make it illegal for banks and credit-card companies to make payments to online gambling sites.
