Vodafone Exec Leaves

VodafoneWe thank Moconews for pointing us towards this bit of industry news. The Guardian reports Vodafone’s global head of content development Graeme Ferguson, who was instrumental in the creation of the operator’s mobile games services, has left the company.

While Vodafone in the UK is in the middle of a mammoth restructuring, it is unclear whether Ferguson has left as a result of these measures, the report says. Under a cost-cutting plan announced earlier in the year, roughly 200 of the company’s 500 marketing people were to leave. Moconews has access some to inside information saying that this is likely the reason for the career move, but no confirmation. Stepping up to take his position is Vodafone executive Dirk Wierzbitzki.
