Jamdat shareholder sticks it to EA

Small rebel force leads desperation mission against the Empire (hint: aim for the exhaust port)

In response to videogame giant Electronic Art’s announcement last week that they were buying mobile game company JAMDAT for USD 680 million, a JAMDAT shareholder has filled a class-action lawsuit against EA in the hopes of preventing the acquisition. Shareholder Elliot Fox feels that the purchase is unlawful because it would intentionally sell JAMDAT for too low of a price to EA. Fox stated:

“The proposed acquisition is the product of a hopelessly flawed process that was designed to ensure the sale of Jamdat to one buying group and one buying group only, on terms preferential to Electronic Arts.”

Whether or not Fox has a case is irrelevant. History has taught us that unless you’re a whiny farm boy who hates his father and likes to play with his lightsaber, you’re pretty much screwed when pitted against evil empires. And we all know that EA beats up kids for lunch money and then runs over their dogs, twice; they’re pretty evil.
