Cell Phones Don’t Cause Cancer… Probably

NurseDutch doctors are sure that they don’t know anything

The Dutch health council announced in a report yesterday that the radiation emitted by mobile phones does not cause cancer. Then they went and said that the results were inconclusive.

The council studied all international reports between 2003 and 2005 on the topic , as well as a 2003 Dutch TNO study into the effects of UMTS radio base stations, before making the announcement. The council said that “For (malignant) brain tumors, there does not, at this stage, appear to be any association,” but also stated that further studies are necessary before they really know for sure.

Obviously the responsible mobile gamers at QuicklyBored have taken steps to ensure that we’re prepared in the eventuality that cell phones are revealed to cause cancer. In partnership with QuicklyBored, Nokia will release a Bluetooth headset for use with their series 60 phones that provides the mobile gamer on the go with effective radiation shielding. The headset is scheduled for release just in time for Christmas, retailing for approx. $99 USD.
